|Quick plug, if I may. Science Fiction fans, listen up!

The Exeter University Community - Ayyy!
The Science Fiction Society is showing a film in the Freddy Mercury Suite (that's downstairs in Cornwall House) tomorrow evening starting at 6 pm. If you don't know where that is, meet us at 5.45 pm outside Devonshire House and we'll take you there. We'll be showing some reasonably light Sci-Fi and feeding you free pizza (!) to go with it.|
The reason I'm plugging this here is that we have, unfortunately, been left out of the Welcome Week programme, which is the main place people find out about these events. But it's still taking place, and anyone is welcome to watch, eat, and get to know the quite possibly geekiest society at this university.
(We're also going on a pub crawl on Thursday evening, to join us on that meet us outside Devonshire House (again) at 8 pm. We'll be showing you some of the easily reachable, welcoming, and hopefully geek-friendly pubs around the University.)
Also make a note of the society's main event, MicroCon, which is late in the second term of the year, and of course look out for us at the freshers' squash.
